CEREC CAD CAM is a revolutionary technology used to create dental restorations in one day. This technology uses computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing to create restorations in the form of crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays. The process begins with scanning the tooth with a small camera. The scan is then converted into a 3D digital model and sent to the CAD/CAM software. The software then creates a virtual restoration for the patient. The restoration is then milled out of a single block of porcelain and placed onto the tooth. The CAD/CAM technology allows for a more accurate restoration and faster turnaround times for the patient.
