Night guards are oral appliances that are used to treat bruxism, or teeth grinding. Occlusal guards are also oral appliances and are designed to help protect teeth from the consequences of bruxism – grinding and clenching during sleep. They are typically made of clear soft or hard material and fit in the upper or lower dental arches. Some night guards are partially cover teeth.

Occlusal guards are also a type of mouthguard, they are used to prevent contact between the upper and lower teeth and are used to treat TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder). Such guards are worn during daytime.

Sleep apnea guards are a type of oral appliance used to treat sleep apnea, a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing while you sleep. Snoring appliances are oral devices designed to reduce snoring. They work by keeping the airways open when you sleep, allowing you to breathe more freely. All of these devices are custom-fitted by a dentist to ensure that they are comfortable and effective.
